Lungs are the organ that are used for respiration. Evacuation of air from lungs with sudden pressure is termed as cough. There could be many reasons of Cough but most commonly it occurs when an internal irritant like mucus or an external element lie dust or smoke get stuck in throat and our lungs excrete air with pressure as reflex system to release the throat from stuck particle, sometimes this reflex action gets triggered when some food particle gets entered into food pipe
1. Excretion of Air from lungs with sudden pressure.
2. Pain in Chest after release of air.
3. Feeling pain or heaviness while taking breath or it will feel like shortening the breath
Type of Cough
There are many types of cough, followings are the list of few types :
Cold and flue
TB or Tuberculosis
chronic bronchitis or Chest infection
You can try one of the following home remedies to overcome the cough, however if symptoms remain more than three days then you must consult to a doctor for treatment:
Take honey 3 to 4 times a day, it will relief your cough.
2. Honey and Dry Ginger
Add a little quantity of dry ginger in honey and use it 3 to 4 times a day, it will be very helpful for chronic cough and chest infection.
3. Black Cumin
chew 1 black cumin after every one hour, it will decrease the cough attack.
Juice of Peppermint is a helpful tonic for cough.
5. Dates and Warm Water
Eat 5-6 dates and then drink 1 glass of warm water, it will start releasing the mucus and will soother you, it will also be helpful for asthma.
Ginger is best for cough treatment when it is used alongiwth honey, take 25 grams of Ginger and add it in Honey and use 4-5 times daily.
7. Banana Leaves
A. take few Banana leaves and dry them
B. once they get dried fry them without oil
C. Grind them and use with warm water 2-3 times a day.
Add onion juice in honey and use it 2-3 times a day, it will be helpful to reduce the cough.
9. Black Pepper
Grind Black Pepper and add them in honey for relief in cough.
10. Raisins and Pomegranate
Get peel of Pomegranate and dry it then add few Raisins and Almond in it and grind well, use this 3-4 times a day and see the response to cough.
A. Take warm milk
B. Add 1 tea spoon of Turmeric in milk
C. Add 1 tea spoon of Ghee in it (optional)
D. Drink this specially while going to sleep.
Warm milk before going to bed is very helpful for relief from cough during night time.
In addition, keep your chest and neck warm ,it will help you to overcome the cough.
